Quaran-Takeout

California has been sheltering-in-place for about 5 weeks. It’s been a difficult time for all and though we can’t enjoy some simple pleasures like grabbing a beer at Alesmith or sitting down for a few slices at Regents, hubs & I are grateful that we’re able to support some of our local favorites from home.

I’ve noticed a common sight while driving around: Banners hanging from restaurants letting people know that they’re “Open for Takeout.” Many of my favorite places have adapted online ordering systems and are making delivery services available, along with no-touch and curbside pickup. Photos and links below to some places we’ve been frequenting these past few weeks:

It’s weird times right now and what I miss more than ever is sharing a meal and a beer with friends and family in a crowded restaurant. For now, I’m blessed I’m able to support these places from home and for the technology to – virtually for now – spend time with loved ones.

Stay well, stay home, wash your hands, support local, you know the drill.
